If you eat fast food, even occasionally, you must admire how quickly they crank out the stuff. A proven, time-tested system makes it possible. Every day, in every way, they prepare and serve every burger and every batch of fries exactly the same way. No deviation from the system allowed. It works perfectly except when humans goof up and don't follow the system.
The "fast food system" can teach us a lot about mastering the aging process. You can apply it to your own life.
You start with a product (you), develop a system or regimen (exercise and diet), then every day apply the system to the product (you). Simple, yes?
Of course, you must first develop the system or regimen that you want to put the product (you) through each day. Don't make it difficult or complicated, just decide on some simple "baby" steps to take, then start.
Let's assume you decide there are five basic actions you will take each and every day to keep you ageless. They could be:
• You eat breakfast with enough protein to keep your appetite in check until the next meal. No sugary fake "cereals" or excess empty carbs to upset your blood sugar and create cravings.
• You take vitamin supplements, even if you feel great and think you don't need them.
• You make time to exercise, even if you think you don't have time. No need for trips to a fitness center; instead, invest in a treadmill or stationary bike, and put it in front of the TV. Walk or pedal away while you watch your favorite programs instead of sitting on the sofa drinking nasty diet soda and wolfing down a bag of greasy chips.
• You spend 15 minutes reading books or newsletters that teach you about anti-aging living.
• You drink eight full glasses of water during the day.
It's a no-brainer you do the five actions of your choice each and every day. You don't need to start all five at once. Start with one thing. Then add another after the first action becomes automatic. It doesn't matter if the sky falls, you do it anyway. It becomes a habit, a regimen or a system - whatever you choose to call it. And it works.
If you are 30, 40 or 50 and you begin to invest in yourself with a dedicated system that makes sense to you, I guarantee that by the time you are 77 (my age) father time will have no claim on your ageless life. You will feel and function, mentally and physically as you did 25 years earlier.
Look, you can't stop the passage of time, but you can develop a personal anti-aging system that stops "oldness" dead in its tracks. Take the advice of that wise entertainer, Eubie Blake, who said, "If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself." You have the power to control the aging process. Stop putting it off. Start your own "fast food system" today! Remember, it works!

Make-Up for Acne - The Art of Safe Disguise
By: Sarah Cannon
It's Friday night and you have a big date. You should be eagerly looking forward to the night's festivities but instead you want to crawl under the covers and hide. Why? You've got acne. Don't panic! You certainly can't cure your acne before your date arrives but you can use make-up to safely disguise your pimples if you know how.
To hide the acne you will need three basic tools: concealer, foundation and finishing powder. You only want to hide the acne, not make it worse. Since part of the reason you have the acne in the first place is excess oil, make sure you choose make-up that is oil free and, if possible, non-comedogenic. If your skin is particularly sensitive, a hypoallergenic make-up would be a good additional feature. Carefully match the make-up to your own skin tone.
It is always important to test any new make-up product before fully using it. This is especially true for acne sufferers. Apply a small amount of the make-up behind your ear or under your jaw and let it sit for an hour or so. If your skin begins to register a reaction, don't use the make-up.
Before using make-up to hide acne, gently clean your face with a cleansing cream. Do not scrub your face. This will only irritate the acne making it harder to hide and more likely to spread or even scar. Pat your face dry. Apply any acne medication that you may be using according to the instructions on the product or from your dermatologist. Let the medication dry completely.
Using a fresh, disposable make-up sponge, apply the concealer in a light dabbing fashion directly on the areas affected by acne. It is imperative that you use a new sponge and dispose of it afterward. This will help prevent the acne from spreading. Never allow your make-up source such as a concealer stick to actually touch your skin. The concealer should be applied sparingly, not slathered on like plaster.
Foundation is next and it should also be applied sparingly. Use another cosmetic sponge and spread the foundation evenly gently blending the foundation and the concealer. Once that thin layer dries you can reapply the foundation for further coverage as needed.
Now for the final touches! Using a large make-up brush, apply an oil free powder over your face. This will ensure a light, even layer of make-up and hide any unevenness left by the concealer or foundation.
Congratulations! You have a natural, acne-free look without waiting for your face to clear up. Forget about the acne and have a wonderful time. One last thing to remember, before you go to sleep gently cleanse your face of all make-up and reapply your acne medication if instructions permit.

Avocados: Great For Skin Care
By: Kevin Pederson
Avocado is also known as Alligator Pear originated in southern Mexico. It has become a useful ingredient for our daily skin care routine. It is rich in fat as well as protein. These fats are monounsaturated which is good for a healthy heart. The provision of vitamin E in avocado helps the heart to remain fit. It is also known to supply 60% more potassium in comparison to a banana.
It is also rich in fiber, foliate (folic acid), vitamin B6, iron, copper and magnesium. Other than applying avocado on your skin, consuming it in salad form can also be beneficial for your skin. Avocado contains vitamins like A, D, and E which has penetrating qualities to improve your skin. Avocado oil is also very useful for skin care. The oil is useful to remove any sun damage or age spots. It also softens the skin and provides a moisturizing effect and can do wonders on damaged, undernourished and dehydrated skin.
Simple Recipes for Skin Care
Puffed Eyes
Cut avocado into slices and place it under each eye and relax with it for the next 20 minutes. The changes would be remarkable.
Eye Cream
Make an eye cream by mixing 5 drops of almond oil in 3 ripe slices of avocado. Blend this mixture and dab it around your eyes. Keep it on for five minutes, then rinse. Another method of making the eye cream is by using 1/4 cup avocado oil with 1/4 cup aloe vera gel. You could also use apricot kernel, grape seed or sesame oil.
Facial Mask
This facial mask is useful for dry skin. Smash half of an avocado and apply it leisurely on your face. Keep it on for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. Make a paste of ½ ripe avocado mixed with 1 tsp vegetable oil. Apply this paste on a washed and clean face. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it with warm water. This masque is very good for dry skin.
Smooth and Beautiful Hands
Make a paste by mixing 1/4 peeled & smashed avocado, 1 egg white, 2 tbsp. of oatmeal and 1 tsp of lemon juice. Apply this paste on your hand and leave it for 20 minutes. Rinse it with warm water and pat it dry. You would be thrilled by the results by using it regularly.
Facial Scrub
You would need 2 tbsp. of flax seeds, 1/2 mashed banana and 1/2 avocado peel. Use a small bowl to mix the flax seeds and banana. Scoop the banana and flax seed by using avocado peel. Massage this scoop on your face in circular motion, slowly and gently. Rinse it with warm water.

Learn About the Latest Trends in Fragrances Now
By: Bridget Allen
The biggest trend today in the world of fashion isn't so much what clothes you are wearing, but rather what or who's fragrance you are wearing. Our noses connect the subconscious with an onslaught of emotions and thoughts, so be sure your fragrance works for you instead of against you! Regardless what the trend is, remember that each one of us has different body chemistry, so the scent that works for one person may not necessarily work for you. Although the trend may be important, keep in mind that finding a scent that works well for your body chemistry is even more so.
Today's trends in fragrance mainly involve who is behind the fragrance. Popular singers like Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez are currently hocking a variety of perfumes. Although neither the pop tart nor Jenny from the block has personally worked in a laboratory to brew her own fragrance, the stars power behind their names is powerful! Also, the fragrance counters have been filled with fragrances from a variety of fashion designers. Hot designers today include the ever popular Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger to the preppy Lacoste and the junior favorite, Candies. Often, individuals buy fragrances not because of what is inside the bottle, but whose name is on the bottle or whose face is behind the advertising campaign.
The current trend on the actual scent of the fragrance tends to lean towards the fresh, light, and clean smells. Whereas past years saw the popular perfumes being those with heavy and even spicy scents, today's trend is completely opposite. Just look at Clinique's signature fragrance, Happy. This perfume has been around for years, but is now more popular than ever, with the recent introduction of Happy Heart added to the collection. Other companies, including rival Lancome have introduced new fragrances that smell heavenly, and light enough to float away!
Many individuals choose to swap body sprays or mists for traditional perfumes. Stores like Bath and Body Works and the Body Shop produce a phenomenal array of scents, with everything from fruit to flowers. During the holiday season, many individuals shift their scents to those evoking a particular feeling. Consider following this trend and use holiday related scents during the long winter months. Bath and Body Work's popular seasonal scents include light vanilla fragrances and even those with a hint of cranberry! Just like your wardrobe, your scent should change with the season, so stay abreast of the trends to find out which perfume works best for you!

Indoor Tanning: Your Safer Alternative to the Sun
By: Linda Moore
Whether you are trying indoor tanning for the first time to get ready for a vacation or to keep your summer tan all year long, there are rules that should be followed. These rules are necessary for your safety as well as for your health. Many people visit tanning salons thinking that they do not present the same health risks as tanning in the sun. While the risks are less, they are still there.
The traditional tanning salon depends upon the use of a tanning bed to produce a tan for a customer. This process is known to expose the body to the harmful UVA rays and can cause skin cancer. If you are going to use this method of indoor tanning, use a lotion with an SPF of not less than 8, but not more than 15.
Because of the dangers of traditional indoor tanning, and the fact that people still want to maintain a tan throughout the winter, the industry has invented some answers. Sunless tanning booths and sunless tanning products are the most popular choices with consumers. They are safe, look good and are easily applied.
Sunless tanning booths operate by literally spraying a mist that contains DHA to create the illusion of a tan. DHA is the same color additive that is used in cosmetics, it covers the body in a color-in this case a varying degree of tan. This type of tanning has had drawbacks when applying color to the feet and hands of a person, these issues have been addressed and are not a concern in most tanning salons.
A spray on tan does not last long, approximately 3-5 days. For this reason, the tanning industry has developed a number of systems that allow you to perform this procedure in the comfort of your home. These systems can be found in local stores and salons as well as in catalogues and online.
Sunless tanning lotions first made their appearance on the market some time ago. Everyone knows the reputation that these products had for leaving the skin orange instead of tan. These early products turned many consumers off to this alternative to sun tanning. Thankfully, the industry has been working on this particular problem and has solved it for most people. Be careful, however, the cheaper lotions may still turn skin orange.
Sunless tanning lotions work in much the same way as the spray tanners. They coat the skin with a DHA coloring. The biggest difference is that it is applied by hand and at home. It is important to carefully follow all of the instructions for use that are printed on the package. This very important step will help you avoid elbows, feet and hands that appear darker than the rest of your body. This type of a tan lasts about the same as the airbrush solution, about 3-5 days. However, by applying a layer or two everyday, you can build upon the tan that you are creating. Therefore, you are able to control how deep the color of the tan becomes.
Indoor tanning is becoming a safer alternative to lying in the sun. As the population learns more about the dangers of the sun, they are looking for their tan from safer methods.

Creed Fragrances: Live Like The Rich And Famous
By: Cathy Peterson
In a world where new fragrances pop up seemingly every day from people who were born in the 80's (like Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson), wearing a fragrance bearing the name of the family who has made it since before you were born, since before the United States was born, in fact, can be a serious statement of refinement and maturity. It also puts you in a pretty select group. Perfume company Creed was founded in 1760 in England and about one hundred years later moved to Paris, where it is still headquartered today. Creed has designed fragrances for royalty and celebrity alike. Creed's fragrances are still mixed by hand, and contain more natural ingredients than any other French perfume house. They have created over two hundred original fragrances. While Olivier Creed, the sixth generation, is now at the helm, his son and daughter both work in the business as well, which promises to stay in the family for the foreseeable future. Olivier travels the world to find the choicest (and often most expensive) of ingredients.
The oldest fragrance still in Creed's lineup (they currently produce 48 different scents) is Royal English Leather, which was created for King George III of England. You probably remember him as the guy against whom we fought the Revolutionary War.
One of Creed's fragrances, Fleurissimo, was designed for Grace Kelly as a wedding present at the behest of her groom, Prince Rainier III of Monaco. A floral scent, it combines Bulgarian rose, tuberose, violet, and Florentine iris. Kelly and the prince were married in 1956, and the fragrance endures today, a textbook definition of a classic. It was also a favorite of American icons Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Madonna.
Originally designed for Cary Grant and now worn by the likes of Clint Eastwood and George Clooney, as well as some women, Creed's Green Irish Tweed is spicier, but with some of the same notes as Fleurissimo, such as Florentine iris and violet. It also adds sandalwood, ambergris, and French verbena.
The house of Creed has not rested on its laurels in recent past, though. Current Master perfumer Olivier Creed created Silver Mountain Water, inspired by the French mountains. Departing from more famous muses, Creed designed this fragrance for himself, though it is a unisex cologne. Its predominant scents are green tea and black currant. It is worn by British soccer star David Beckham, while his wife Victoria, formerly of the Spice Girls, prefers Creed's Royal Water.

Celebrity Fragrances: Selling Across The Spectrum
By: Cathy Peterson
It seems that in today's show biz world, it's not enough just to sing, or act, or dance, you have to be an entrepreneur and become a brand all your own. One place where this is apparent is in the fragrance industry. It seems like everyone who's anyone has their own fragrance these days, and usually more than one. Some bonds between the names and fragrances of celebrity perfumes are pretty clear, while others are a bit more tenuous. Here's a breakdown of some scents to help you smell like your favorite celeb.
In the celebrity fragrance market, Jennifer Lopez is a prolific perfume designer, with several scents, each theoretically connected to an aspect of J Lo's lifestyle and passions. Still was introduced in 2003. It is a floral scent of freesia, honeysuckle, orange flower, rose, and jasmine. The floral fragrances are complemented by an eclectic mix of scents like sake, earl grey, and white pepper. Miami Glow is more of a fruity scent, with coconut, pink grapefruit, passion fruit, and black currant, that also has some floral scents of orange flower and heliotrope. Finally, the sweetness is tempered a bit by amber, musk and wood. Her newest scent, Live Luxe, is meant to embody the feelings Lopez has about dancing, as well as her passion for all things luxurious. It has peach, pear, apple, and melon scents, along with freesia and honeysuckle, as well as sandalwood, vanilla, and musk.
Jessica Simpson appears to be cashing in on her reputation as a sweetie with her Dessert Treats beauty line, which includes fragrances that smell like your favorite sugary treats. Her two perfumes are Candy and Cupcake, while her other beauty products come in scents such as banana split, bubble gum, and creamsicle. They are apparently all edible as well and taste just like their names.
Britney Spears has used her provocative image to market her fragrances, Curious and Fantasy. Curious was Britney's first perfume, and it is a floral featuring the magnolia from Spears' home state of Louisiana, along with vanilla and musk. Curious In Control is a darker and more complex fragrance, with essences of orchid, crème brulee, and black vanilla bean. Fantasy, marketed as a sort of love potion, is a fruitier scent, with lychee fruit, quince, and kiwi. The heart scents are sweet, with flavor of cupcake, and chocolate orchid. The scent is rounded out with musk and woods.

Discount Fragrances, perfume or romantic gifts will enhance your love life.
By: Mike Yeager
All throughout history cologne has played an important role. Throughout many different countries in the world the use of fragrance is widespread. The modern cologne that you buy today can provide a rich, wonderful scent in a relatively small bottle. The most common fragrances are rose lavender with other flowers such as iris, orchids and jasmines being commonly used. Spices used range from cinnamon, ginger and even pepper, which can give a man an exciting, fiery scent.
The best Cologne and fragrances enhance your love life.
The most expensive and prized ingredient in a man's cologne is musk, which is a secretion produced by the male elk. Unfortunately, the price for even a small portion of natural musk is very high, but modern scientists have identified the molecular structure of pure musk oil and can now artificially create this proven aphrodisiac at a fraction of the cost.
All cologne is different and it's best to match your personality and skin type; after all, different colognes smell differently on each man. A guideline is to apply the fragrance gently because rubbing will cause the alcohol to evaporate, thereby losing the scent.
A great perfume or fragrance is a priceless extension of who you are. The lingering scent of a beautiful perfume is something people will remember for a long time.

Quality Cologne, Perfume And Fragrances To Enhance Your Sex Appeal
By: Mike Yeager
It has been said that a perfume is like gathering an armful of luscious rose pedals at the height of their bloom. The lovely scent, the heavenly fragrance and sensation you feel when surrounded by a quality perfume, fragrance or scent cannot be overstated. There can be a wide variety of ingredients in putting together a fragrance that is both appealing and attracting. Historically these ingredients have been divided between natural and synthetic; that is, between a man made or natural botanical substance. Perfume is meant to reflect and enhance the natural environment around us, which is why many people enjoy the thought of using only "Natural" fragrances and scents.
The best Perfume and fragrances will make you enticing.
In ancient civilizations, materials and ingredients were added to oils used to perfume the skin. Today, science is able to isolate and remove a pure single aroma from natural materials. As a general rule, the purer and more distilled the material, the more it costs. However, there are many wonderful fragrances you can buy that are both inexpensive and of a high quality.

Types of Perfumes
By: Roberto Sedycias
This article explains the many types of perfume fragrances and it is a useful guide for someone trying to pick the right kind of perfume to suit his or her lifestyle.
There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of types of perfumes in today`s market. The high demand for various types of perfumes makes it easily available to find them from inexpensive to moderate expensive to very expensive types of perfumes for all tastes and pockets. One does not have to go very far in order to find major brands available.
The most common way to describe a perfume is perhaps considering its concentration level, where it has been originated from, and the notes of the scent. The most common scent is floral with ingredients such as carnation, jasmine, violet, orange blossoms, lilies, orchids, just to name a few. All perfumes and colognes are different and they are meant to associate the personality and skin type of users.
In order to classify a perfume or cologne, one interesting aspect to consider would be the percentage of concentration by volume of perfume oil:
Perfume usually has in its content, 15 to 25% of perfumed oil.
Eau de Perfume usually has in its content 8 to 15% of perfumed oil.
Eau de Toilette usually has in its content 4 to 10% of perfumed oil.
Eau de Cologne usually has in it content 2 to 5% of perfumed oil.
Nowadays with modern technology of perfume manufacturing, new categories have been formed, the most common of them being described as: Bright Floral - the most popular of them all, meant for almost everyone and for any occasion. Earthy or Woody - it evokes the environment of the forest, with a very refreshing smell. This fragrance has a strong appeal to the older generation. Green - it is considered to be a lighter fragrance and is meant for casual wear. Oceanic - it is very popular with the younger generation. Spicy Fruit - it is a good choice for tropical weather. Oriental - it is composed of spicy scents, meant for special occasions.
Plants are the largest source of fragrant compounds used in the perfume industry. Fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit are also used. Some seeds and woods are very important in providing the base notes to a perfume.
Most modern perfumes and colognes are made using the fragrance oils that the fragrances houses develop using essential oils and aromatic chemicals. The fragrance oils are then blended with ethyl alcohol and water and then aged in thanks for a certain time and filtered through processing equipment to remove any particles before the solution can be considered ready to go into the perfume bottles.
Most fragrances with the names of well known designers are constantly improving in order to produce top quality perfumes. Due to the high demand that major brands experience, it suggests that the perfume industry will keep on a fast mode for quite some time in the future.
Finally, it is a good idea to keep in mind that different people have different tastes and the choice or preference for a particular fragrance is a very personal one and may vary dramatically from one person to another, suggesting that it is better to try it before you buy.

How To Use The Perfume And Fragrance
By: Unknown
Since earliest history, the perfume has always been a part of human culture. It is used on hair, body with oil, flower, and herb extract. It attracts friends to be close to because wearing scent is pleasurable and make other people feeling wonderful.
For women types of perfume, you should learn the different types of perfume before you make a decision to buy your perfume.
The class and the price are determined by their alcohol content. Eau de toilettes and eau de colognes containing between 3% and 8% fragrance and 92 -97% is contained with alcohol, water and color.
Eau de perfume contains actual perfume oils of 8-15%. You pay more for perfume but you get longer lasting perfume than other scent type around six hours.
After considering the type of perfume, the tips you can know when you want to choose the perfume is listed below.
How to use the perfume and fragrance
1. Choose your perfume with care depending on the occasion.
2. The best way to find your perfume is you should test the perfume on yourself not your friend because the same perfume will be different on two people. What smells good on your friend may not smell as nice on you. Then wait. This time you can go shopping or do something else. Then check the perfumes on your skin. Scents change over time relative to your body chemistry
3. A variety of different fragrance types is less fatiguing to the sense of smell. When perfumes are very different you can try five to six; when they are similar, only two to three. Heavier scents tire your nose more quickly so when sampling always begin with lighter scents.
4. Spray the perfume on the back of your wrists, knees and neck. This way makes the last perfume without fumigating everyone.
5. When you spray the perfume, you should not rub because rubbing crushes the molecules of fragrance and ruins the scent.
6. Recommended to spray the inner elbows and behind the knees because the fragrance works best just a little bit humid.
7. The storage condition room should be a temperature out of sunlight and away from the bright, cool and dark area. Do not place near heat or light. Extreme heat causes a fragrance to oxidize or change its odor. The ideal for the best condition for storage perfume is room temperature.
8. Spray a damp cloth with fragrance and throw it into the dryer with your clothing to scent them beautifully.
9. We do not recommend spraying perfumes directly on clothes because some fabrics may stain. If stains occur, they can usually come out when washed. Always apply your fragrance items before dressing
10. If you want to choose the fragrance for someone it is a good rule to buy the classic fragrance. A fragrance that has been on the market for decades is not as risky as new fragrances on the market. The age of the recipient can also influence your choice. If you are purchasing for woman who is your college age, desire, potion, eternal may be appropriate. Lighter floral fragrances are acceptable to almost everyone. Heavier perfumes with oriental notes are more risky.
11. If you notice that the perfume is thick, its color changes drastically and there is a sour smell upon opening, this means the perfume has deteriorated.
12. Increasing body temperature can make the scent and expanding of perfume stronger so it is better to use light perfume for the warm months.

Use These Tips To Find The Best Pheromone Product On The Market
By: Dean Caporella
How do you choose the best pheromone product on the market? This is a question being asked more and more often as people, keen to boost their sexual attraction and appeal, seek shortcuts which will lead them to the pheromone "holy grail."
By now, you are familiar with what human pheromones are, their role in our day-to-day activities and how they can influence the attraction factor in each of us. What are the best pheromones on the market today? Can I be honest? I don't really know...that's right, I cannot tell you. However, what I can tell you is a safe method of shopping for the best pheromones product, a method which will at least give you every opportunity of finding a product you will be satisfied with.
Human Pheromones Under Scrutiny
Human pheromones continue to be the center of great debate. Experts such as Dr. Winifred Cutler established the existence of pheromones. Once there was a possibility humans were influenced on a daily basis by them it wouldn't be long before those savvy enough to market them into colognes, perfumes and spray packs, would profit from them. That's only natural.
Okay, you have done some research on the subject and you're keen to test them out for yourself. How do you choose? Do you try every product on the market before you find one that suits and works best for you? Well, you could but it will be a costly exercise, especially if you're after a night of passion. Believe me, from what I've heard, there are less costly methods available to you!
Best Pheromone Product
Basically, shopping for the best pheromone product is similar to shopping for anything else. Here's a checklist:
- Go online and look through the various websites marketing human pherone products.
- Pay particular attention to the "about us" or "company history" sections.
- Concentrate on those companies who produce their own pheromone products.
- These are the products you want to consider purchasing.
It's pretty simple but the logic lies in the fact companies who produce their own pheromone products in house usually plan to be in business for a long time. They usually spend valuable research dollars in continually improving their products and are passionate about what they're doing. In other words, they are not likely to be fly-by-nighters, here today, gone tomorrow.
Whether pheromone products actually work will continue to be debated for a long time. Maybe wearing pheromone enhanced cologne or perfume promotes an air of confidence which emanates to other people. That's a subject we'll discuss in another article but for now, stick with companies who plan to be around for many years and you will give yourself the best opportunity of finding the best pheromone product.

A Look at Pheromone Cologne
By: Kristy Annely
Imagine a cologne that doesn't just make you smell good, it makes you look good too. That is what pheromone cologne manufacturers would have you believe. A typical product has a selling line like, "Would you like to turn beautiful single women on instantly?" Who would say no? Mixed with alluring fragrances, pheromone colognes reportedly work on the principal that humans can detect and be influenced by pheromones, but what are they?
Technically, pheromones are chemicals produced by animals that affect the behavior of other animals. This isn't a purely sexual affair as many would have you believe. There are pheromones for everything from marking territories to leading the way to food. Most of the attention, however, is on the well documented fact that many insects and animals find and respond to their potential mates based on pheromones.
Human pheromones don't really have a strong scent. The myth that by applying deodorant, you are covering up your natural pheromones doesn't hold much water. Most people would definitely prefer the smell of deodorant over strong body odor. Technically, pheromones are odorless; they are more or less "detected" by an organ in your nose called the vomeronasal organ. This organ, though more developed in other mammals, sends signals to the brain when pheromones are detected that may say things like, "Whoa, healthy genes at 8 o'clock, let's get his number." At least that's what buyers of these products hope.
Pheromones are actually regulated as fragrances so there is no limit to the amount of pheromone in pheromone cologne. Some of the more popular pheromone cologne products out there are Athena Pheromone, Pherone Formulas, Pherplay, and Pherlife. Not just for men, there are also pheromone perfumes targeted towards women who want to use the power of pheromones to attract men. Remember that results can vary and make sure to check customer feedback on these products before buying.
Pheromones Info provides detailed information about human pheromones, pheromone oil, cologne, and concentrate, androsterone pheromone, and more. Pheromones Info is the sister site of Testosterone Web.

A Whiff of Perfume History
By: Elizabeth Miller
Long before the existence of soaps and clean personal hygiene, perfume was invented, no doubt to mask any number of unpleasant odors. This has been credited to the Medes, ancestors of the Kurds, in about the 10th Century B.C.
The Egyptians pioneered perfumery as an industry in about 1580 B.C. Perfume became a daily staple in both religious and boudoir rituals, the latter occurring most frequently in the chambers of Queen Cleopatra.
Drawing on their experience with plants for medicinal remedies, the Egyptians developed new methods of extracting and processing scents from plant and animal sources. China, Persia, Arabia and India sold raw materials to Egyptian perfumers, and Alexandria flourished as the most important trade center in that part of the world.
By 350 B.C. the Greeks had developed such faith in the powers of perfume that they sprinkled it into the air at their feasts so that it could be dispersed by the wings of flying doves to elevate the appetite for food and lovemaking.
At one point the obsession with perfume got so out of hand that it was actually pronounced illegal. But perfume proved unstoppable. It was thought to make people smarter, cure illness, and secure the favor of the gods. Rich people even went to their graves holding a bottle of perfume. And not to be excluded, poor people were placed in caskets bearing a painting of a bottle of perfume.
Fast forward to Italy, 500 A.D. Now perfume was the rage for both religious ceremonies and personal use. Soon the use of perfume spread to the Islamic world. But alas, the fall of the Roman Empire brought the perfume industry down with it.
Now fast waaay forward to France, 1656. The French established a "guild of glove and perfume makers" and the perfume industry came alive again. Perfumed gloves became the rage. The kings had "perfumed courts." New blends continued to elevate consumer demand and finally came Eau de Cologne: a fragrance for internal consumption! Yes, they drizzled cologne onto sugar lumps and stirred it into wines. They rinsed their mouths with it, poured it into bath water, and even used it for enemas.
The 1800s found France flooding the world with perfumes and colognes born of new chemical discoveries and manufacturing processes. This spawned the designer bottling industry, and its lavish works of glass raised the art of merchandising to new heights.
The 1900s brought the advent of synthetic fragrance materials, making it possible to formulate many thousands of scents. So today we can select perfumes and colognes from an endless universe of designer scents to delight the senses, inspire ooohhs and ahhs, and complement every personality.

Interesting Facts About Perfumes
By: Roberto Sedycias
High living has always been associated with the use of perfumes. In the old days with royalty people espousing the need for fragrances, the bourgeois society soon followed.
Perfumes from natural odorants like sandalwood or musk were preferred. In today`s world due to illegal trafficking and species endangerment, natural odorants are replaced by synthetic aromatics. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Aromas like musk from natural ingredients are extremely complex and have been impossible to imitate through synthetic aromatics like nitro-musks or macrocyclic musks. On the other hand, synthetic aromas like ozone, marine, metallic, etc., have no parallel olfactory relationship in the natural odorants.
So nowadays with modern technology of perfume manufacturing and synthetic aromas, new categories have been created. Categories that can be best described as:
1 - Bright Floral - very popular and meant for almost everyone and all occasions;
2 - Woody - it evokes the forest refreshing smell.
3 - Green - it has a lighter fragrance and is meant for casual wear.
4 - Oceanic - it is very popular among the younger generation.
5 - Spicy Fruit - a good choice for tropical weather or during summer
6 - Oriental - it is meant for special occasions. Spicy scents.
It is very important the composition of perfumes, because the right combination of scents (as rose, jasmine, cola), modifiers (esters), blenders (linalool, hydroxycitronellol) and fixatives(like resins, wood scents and amber), can provide the unique smell by which brand name perfumes are so famous and desired for. Some famous brand name perfumes are:
1 - Eau de Cologne (1709)
2 - Chanel No. 5 (1921)
3 - Opium YSL (1977)
4 - Azzaro Pour Homme (1978)
5 - Anais Anais (1979)
6 - Poison Christian Dior (1985)
7 - Eternity Calvin Klein (1988)
8 - Envy Gucci (1997)
9 - Nu YSL (2001)
10 - Rose 31 (2006)
Also, preservation of perfumes is of vital significance as it degrades if kept carelessly. Previously all perfumes used to come in open bottles with caps. These bottles kept the fragrance intact for about a year. As it was used, the level of the perfume went down, and it was exposed to oxygen contained in the empty space of the bottle. This eventually changed the perfume`s fragrance. Heat, light, oxygen, and extraneous organic materials, further distorted the fragrance. Thus glass bottles, though extremely decorative, allowed light, and contributed to the degradation of the scent.
It is now a well known fact that light-tight aluminum bottles are best for the preservation of perfumes, especially when they are refrigerated at low temperatures from 3 to 7 degree Celsius. The oxygen contained inside the bottle cannot be removed completely but it can be minimized by the use of rollers instead of open bottles. Further minimization of oxygen exposure can be attained by the use of sprays.
Thus almost all modern day perfume come in spray bottles, which isolate the perfume from mixing with outside oxygen, skin, detritus, and dust, thereby promoting the longevity of the olfactory quality of the perfume.

History of Perfumes
By: Dr.Prashantkumar Kudli Shrinivas
Perfume has become an intrinsic part of our daily lives; It is a part of our identity. Think of an ordinary day and all the different smell sensations; the zesty , invigorating shower gel, the familiarity of a personal perfume, the fresh-washed smell of just washed clothes, the citrus tang of the dish-wash liquid, the relaxing night massage oil.
The fragrance in each product we use is taken for granted, though behind the scenes the whole industry strives constantly to improve fragrances.
People are essentially visually oriented, and dependent on sight and sound to gather information from the surroundings." Smell", however, is an extraordinary sense, closely linked to the limbic system (seat of emotions and the functions of memory), it has the power above all other senses to transport us, in an instant to times past or pervade our psyche to change our mood. The consumer is ahead of the scientist, however, now, more than ever before, the developed world is flooded with products to enhance every aspect of modern living. The consumer is spoiled for choice, but a choice must be made! Fragrance is an important part in the positioning of these products and is a feature that the consumer turns to automatically to underscore the promise. It is much more than a personal perfume. It is mysterious, ethereal, and elusive. Yet it is rooted solidly in the physical world and can therefore be examined scientifically.
The very word perfume is derived from the Latin perfumum, meaning 'by' or'through'smoke, as it was with the use of burning incense that the prayers of the ancients were transported to the heavens for the contemplations of the Gods. The use of fragrances developed within the four great centres of culture in China, India, Egypt and Mesopotamia, and was extended in the elite societies of Greece, Palestine, Rome, Persia and Arabia. The great world religions of Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Zoroastroism employ fragrance in pursuance of their faiths. Thus, religious and pleasurable pursuits have been the main drives in the phenomenal growth of perfume usage throughout the centuries.
The Christian bible is chock-full of fragrance descriptions. The story of Jesus of Nazareth is populated by fragrant materials, from frankincense and myrrh, his gifts at birth, through to the use of spikenard to wash his feet during life and finally the use of myrrh in the binding sheets of his body after crucifixion. Through trade and cultivation, Palestine became a great source of aromatic wealth. The Greeks further developed the use of fragrances, not only in praise of their gods, but also for purely hedonistic purposes. The sciences of medicine and herbalism developed with Hippocrates and Theophrastus, whilst Alexander the Great, tutored by Aristotle, in the third century BC advanced the use of alchemy. The most used fragrances of the Greeks were rose, saffron, frankincense, myrrh, violets, spikenard, and cinnamon and cedar wood.
Meanwhile, in Rome, Pliny the Elder outlined a primitive method of condensation which collected oil from rosin on a bed of wool, and also made the first tentative experiments in chromatography. Throughout the ages, perfume has provided a pathway to happiness.
The first professional perfumers piled their in Capua, which became a trading centre of the industry. Perfume was used in abundance at the games both as a gift for the gods and as a mask for malodors of a bloodstained and offal-dappled arena. It is estimated that in the first century, Romans were consuming nearly 3000 tones of frankincense and over 500 tones of the more expensive myrrh. Roman emperors used perfume to excess, instanced by Nero and his wife Poppeae, who had a kind of 'perfumed plumbing' in their palaces, with false ceilings designed to drop the flower petals onto dinner guests and scented doves which fragranced the air with perfumed wings. When Poppeae died, it was said of Nero that he burned a whole year's supply of incense on her funeral pyre.
Empress Zoë, in the Christian stronghold of Constantinople, had employed court perfumers. From there the practice spread, with Normans strewing flowers and rushes onto the floors of castles and churches to keep the air fragrant and acceptable.
In a perverse day, the Black Death of 1347-1351 and subsequent pandemics were huge catalysts to the growth in usage of aromatic products, which had already shown signs of flourishing from Eastern alchemical practice. To counteract the odor of decay of dead bodies due to plague, the people carried nosegays and small floral bouquets. Washing with water and enveloping the body in smoke or incense was felt to be an effective defense against Black death, and in addition torch bearers with brands of fragrant herbs walked ahead of important and rich personages.
Guilds of the supply of aroma products began to be formed between the 12th and 13th centuries. Related crafts included the London Guild of Pepperers and Spicers, and in 1268 the Glover's Guild was recognized. King Henry I of France and England granted a heraldic shield to the Guild of Perfumers. A charter to glover perfumes had been granted by Philip Augustus of France as early as 1190.
Venice was an important centre for trade and commerce between Europe, the Middle East and the Orient and became the funnel through which many spices and aromatic raw materials reached Europe and its domination in trade for these products lasted for a few hundred years.
Distillation as an art was well known in the 11th century, but the first European treatise on distilling was written by the Catalonian Arnald of Villanova around 1310. Different types of distilled spirit were identified as aqua vitae(life), aqua vini(wine), and aqua gardens(burning water) and the book on the practice was translated into English from the German. Early processes of distillation used alembics, usually made of copper, iron or tin, since lead and silver had the characteristic of tainting the distillation vapour. Arnald of Villanova showed interest also in the sulphur baths of Montpellier, and it was around this time that the fragrance raw material and production centre of Grasse, in the south of France, began to develop strongly. Meanwhile, Paracelsus(1493-1541)worked on distillation to separate the 'essential ' from the 'non-essential' parts of a compound, and developed further the quinta essential theory of a fifth element, involved in imbuing life. In 1573, Edward de vere, Earl of Oxford, brought Elizabeth I not only scented sachets, but also perfumed gloves and jerkins. Around this time the first books and manuscripts describing perfumery techniques surfaced, and court perfumers took the stage. A contemporary of Elizabeth, Catherine de Medici (1519-1589), traveled to France to marry HenryII and in her entourage were two skilled artisans skilled in the crafts of perfumes and poisons. Diane de Poitiers, a rival of Medici, was said to dabble herself in philters, potions, perfumes and poisons.
Norstardamus, the personal astrologer of Catherine, was known to inhale smoke and incense as part of his preparations for prophesying. As a plague doctor, Nostradamus used rose petal pills as a palliative and part herbal remedy for bad breath and cleaning teeth. The recipe of these pills included red roses picked before dawn, sawdust from fresh green cypress, iris, cloves, calamus, tiger lily and aloes. His second wife Anne Ponsard Gemelle was famed as a maker of herbalised perfumes.
History is littered with examples of the famous and their perfumed preferences: Henry III was said to have fallen head over heels in love with Mary of Cleeves after breathing the odor of her just removed clothing. Henry IV of France was reputed to smell so ripe that his intended, Marie de Medici(1573-1642) keeled over when she first met him, while Henry himself, reveling in his own natural odor and those of others, once reputedly wrote to his mistress Gabrielle d'Estree,'Don't wash my love, I will be in home in eight days'. The French kings and their courts greatly indulged the use of fragrance, LouisXIII favoring neroli, based on orange blossom, whilst his chief adviser Cardinal Richelieu had the fragrant scent of flowers 'bellowed' through his apartments. Louis XIV, the Sun King, with his mistress Madame de Montespan, compounded his own fragrances, whilst Louis XV lavished wealth on 'La Cour Parfumee'(the perfumed court) with his mistress Madame de Pompadour and Madame du Barry, where even the fountains did not escape a fragrant dousing.
Meanwhile, over in England, Charles I (1600-1649) had Neil Gwynne as fragrant advisor, whilst CharlesII (1630-1685) was encouraged in the aromatic arts by Catherine of Braganza. Perfume rings, filigree pomanders and vinaigrettes gave new ways to perfume the air, much needed since the strong smell of valerian musk and civet was desirable to the lack of personal hygiene which existed at the time.
In 1708, Charles Lilly, a London perfumer, introduced scented snuffs and a revolutionary fragrance consisting of orange flower, musk, civet, violet and amber, whilst in 1711 William Bayley opened a perfumery in Long Acre, moving later to Cockspur Street under the sign of 'Ye Olde Civet Cat'. Juan Floris (1730) and William Yardely (1770) added to the groundswell matched in France by Houbigant(1774) and Lubin(1798). These half dozen perfumers catalyzed the marketplace; expanding their clientele to commonflok. Two famous compounded fragrances La Poudre de Marechale (1670) and Eau de Colonge (1710), grew in popularity, making a slight move in presence from the heavy animalic scents of the times, but with pox and pestilence to counter, aromas of all descriptions were slapped on, sprinkled over and carried in nosegays. Houses were refreshed using pomanders, potpourris, and cassoulets. The chuches frowned and Oliver Cromwell did his best to put a stamp on the use of fragrances, but the eighteenth century saw a fragrance backlash of mighty proportions.
Fragrances were needed in profusion to combat the olfactory disaster zones of prisons, hospitals, ships, churches, theatres, work-shops, and, indeed, anywhere where there was a gathering of humming humanity.
The seventeenth century perfumes had begun to be stored in lightly blown glass bottles and the eighteenth century saw the appearance of pear-shaped bottles in opaque white glass, decorated similarly to porcelain ware. Weight was reduced, and decorative appeal achieved by colour, cutting and appliqué decoration, which made perfume bottles truly treasured possessions, and worth much to today's collectors.
Napoleon Bonaparte loved aromas, he liked citrus and herbal smells, and favored Eau de Cologne, using by all accounts several bottles a day. Josephine, a Creole from Martinique, employed a different potpourri of smells. She favored animalics, and was particularly fond of musk oil.
Queen Victoria can be credited with two smell revolutions that hit Britain. The shawls she wore were steeped in patchouli, imbuing a rich woody fragrance to the garment. During the Victorian era, wearing of perfume was strictly controlled. As the Victorian era drew to a close, new names cropped up to cater for the mass-market demand in quality and reliability of scents. Scientists and artisans developed into perfumers of both integrity and repute. Two famous names such as Lillie Yardley, Lentheric, and Floris were added Savoury and Moores, Atkinsons, Chardin, Crown, Coty, Hougibant, Guerlain, Roger and Gallet, Penhaligon and Piver; names which are familiar in households today.
Perfumery developed in three fundamental ways: the technique used, the structure and synthetics employed and the industrialization of the process.
In his book Odours, Fragrances and Cosmetics(1865), S. Piesse developed theories that related specific odors to notes on a musical scale in an attempt to categorize the spectrum of smells. In 1890, Atkinsons published one of the books on perfume technology, essentially concerned with the production of absolutes by the cryoscopic removal of fats. In 1861, Guerlain created Eau Imperiale for Empress Eugenie, the influential wife of Napoleon III. By the end of the century, this redeveloped fragrance was shown to be created around neroli, rose, geranium, sandalwood, musk and the synthetic chemical coumarin. Fragrances began to be described in a structural form, with the adoption of top, middle and bottom note terminology.
Two other fragrances, Forgere Royale (1882) and Jicky (1889) were in vogue. Fougere Royale was arguably amongst the first fragrances to use a synthetic chemical - Coumarin, whilst Jicky is held to be the first truly vertically structured fragrance, with a fresh, citrus top based on lemon, bergamot and mandarin, middle floral notes of rose and jasmine, woody notes in vetiver, orris root and patchouli, and base notes of coumarin, benzoin, civet, amber and vanillin. By 1879, Yardley exported different varieties of scented soaps to the United States, whilst the British company Crown Fragrances was exporting about fifty different fragrances to different countries. Perfumers focused on mass production techniques for aroma chemicals, glass bottles and alcohol service an ever-growing market demand. Products were branded to encourage consumer loyality. Perfumes of France, England and Spain widened their horizons to a global marketplace. Perfume started reaching the masses. Tjis set the scene for the twentieth century, the age of fashion, which spurred a truly explosive growth in the use of fragrance in many forms.
In the first 20 years of the twentieth century, a score of fine fragrances was developed, including Violette Purpre (1907,Houbigant), L'Origan (1905,Coty), English Lavender ( 1910, Atkinsons), L'Heure Blue ( 1912, Coty), and Old English Lacender (1913, Yardley). During the last decade of that century, the industry had grown to such an extent that over 100 fine fragrances a year were being launched. Perfume had come to the people. Chemistry and creativity had brought it there.

There Is A Perfume For Everyone
By: Roberto Sedycias
Perfumes are an essential part of our everyday life. They were first used in Egypt, but are now used throughout the world for different reasons.
Perfumes come in different varieties, concentrations, fragrances, bottles and rates. Perfumes are usually a solution of fragrant aromatic oils and a solvent like ethanol. They are mixed in different proportions to create different intensity of scents. The commonly used eau de cologne has 2-5% of aromatic oil. These aromatic oils are extracted from various natural and synthetic sources to create several kinds of fragrances.
By mixing different oils, scents like floral, oriental, woody, fresh, leather, chypre and fourgere are created. Major brands of designer perfumes are available to all over the world, such as YSL, Estee Lauder, Dolce Gabbana, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Salvador Dali, Stella McCartney, Victoria Secret and many more. All of them come in exquisite packaging and bottles.
There are many types of perfumes: for the body, bath, car, house, office, etc. All have different concentrations of aroma oils. Perfumes have become so common that we use them daily without giving a second thought. Perfumes can lift your mood and make you feel positive. The way you smell also has a marked impact on the people around you and the way they treat you. If your lively personality is complemented by a pleasant fragrance, it can change your life and of those around you drastically.
Perfumes have tremendous power to influence emotions. Aroma oils used in perfumes can trigger emotions like love, hatred, passion, activity, hunger, etc. They can even bring back the happy or sad memories of the past. You should wear the perfume that makes you happy and makes you feel good and fresh.
To pick the perfume that suits you the best, think about the fragrances that you like. They could range from floral, citrus, woody, musk, leather, etc. You should select different perfumes for casual wear and formal wear. The daily wear perfumes could be more sporty type while the party wear ones can have more sophisticated scents. You can have different perfumes for different occasions.
Remember that the perfumes that you like on others may not suit you as favorably. A single perfume can smell entirely different on different people, so while selecting your scent, try it out on yourself and let it stay for a day to know if you truly like it.
Today, everybody can be identified by the kind of perfume they wear. Because perfumes are available in all types of fragrances, suiting all pockets, everybody can afford one and make a statement by wearing it. People judge you by the kind of perfume you wear, so it is important that you select the one that suits your personality. Most celebrities have their signature fragrances.
Once you pick your fragrance, do not change it often. Sense of smell helps in associating people with their fragrance. If you stick to one, people will know you have arrived and what mood you are in even without looking at you.
Perfumes make for a great gift, especially for women. When you run out of ideas for a suitable present for anybody old or young, perfumes are the safest bet. Whether it's a birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Thanksgiving or just any other occasion, you can rely on perfumes to delight the receiver.
But selecting the right fragrance for someone else is an ordeal in itself. Think about the scents that he or she likes and wears most of the time and try to stick to other perfumes similar to that fragrance. So, go ahead, take your pick.

Practical Tips On Choosing The Right Perfume
By: Roberto Sedycias
Get to know about perfumes ingredients, flavors, smell, skin, climate and season as guidelines in picking the perfume that best suits your lifestyle.
Perfume is considered to be one of the most must-haves for any status-conscious person in any society. Initially, it was being used by the upper-class society as a high-end accessory; but, later it became available even to the most common person in the society. In the modern age, the use of perfume has become virtually indispensable as it potentially adds to the personality of a person.
The history and background of perfume can be traced back to the ancient times of Egypt. The word `Perfume` has been coined by the combination of two Latin words such as `Per` (Through) and `Fume` (Smoke). The art of making perfumes took place in ancient Egypt but it was the Romans and the Arabs who improved it subsequently. There are many procedures being followed these days for making the modern perfumes but the most general process is extracting oils from flowers by distillation which was introduced by an Iranian doctor named Avicenna.
Usually, the exact formulae of making perfumes and fragrances are kept confidential by the designer houses; however, some perfume specialists are skilled enough to identify the ingredients, components and origins of the perfume and scents. At the present day, France is dominating the European perfume design and trade industry, and the `Perfumery` has become one of the most potentially profitable businesses in the world.
How to pick the right perfume?
Choosing the right perfume and fragrance has become increasingly difficult for the customers as the cosmetic market is being invaded by numerous new perfumes and scent brands each and every day. Now a days, perfumes and fragrances can be found in different flavors and ingredients. They are being manufactured and offered in bottles of different shapes and sizes according to the needs of the targeted customers. While visiting a cosmetic store, a customer often gets confused about what could be the right one for him/her. However, there are some guidelines if followed can help those confused customers remove their doubts and select the right perfume for them.
They are as follows:
Skin:
Try different perfumes and fragrances to know what suits your skin the best. No two perfumes are alike in fragrance, flavor and smell. Hence what suits the most, may not necessarily suit you. Do not just blindly follow the branded perfumes. It really pays to try different perfumes before you settle for one.
Smell:
Always go for a perfume that contains fresh smells and makes you attractive and impressive. Have your best friend (preferably female) give his/her views on the particular perfume you are trying. Often, it is the other person who can tell you what goes right with you.
Ingredients and Flavors:
Perfumes can be selected using different ingredients and flavors. They are different categories of perfumes such as woody perfume, fruit perfume, floral perfume, oceanic perfume, greens perfume and oriental perfume. Usually, each of these fragrances is suitable for a male or female depending on their personal preference. However, you can always go for one that best suits your personality and life-style.
Climate and Season:
While choosing a perfume, one should consider the climate and season. What goes best in the winter may not be even good enough in the summer. Hence, it is extremely important to choose the perfume that does justice to the climate and to your skin. Moreover, perfumes should be selected as per the occasions and festivals too. For instance, a particular perfume may be just perfect for a birthday party you are attending, but when it comes to a boardroom meeting you have to choose a different one.

Perfumes and Fragrances
By: Roberto Sedycias
This article explains the basic fragrance groups which will help one to make the best of his next perfume purchase by making use of perfume fragrance that will best suit his lifestyle.
Mankind has been using perfume for quite a long time. Some people say it was first discovered in ancient Egypt and used by different civilizations such as ancient Chinese, Hindus, Israelites, Carthaginians, Arabs, Greeks, Romans and finally reintroduced hundreds of years later in France. Ever since, French perfume has become famous worldwide and today sets the standard for excellence.
The word perfume comes from Latin, meaning "through smoke". Perfume came into being in the early days, through the burning of incense and aromatic herbs. Ever since, it has influenced mankind up to a point to become a product of desire.
For those purchasing perfumes, it is wise to become familiarized with basic fragrance groups which will help to find the perfect perfume one might be looking for.
The citrus fragrance category derives from different fruits such as lime, lemon, tangerine, mandarin and others, creating a sort of refreshing aroma. Mostly used during the summer. Appropriate for office wear, day or evening wear.
The floral fragrance category derives from large varieties of flowers such as vanilla, jasmine, roses and others. It is the most popular and used fragrance group. The scent of romance and starry nights.
The oriental fragrance category derives from mixtures of spices, resins, amber, balsams and other exotic essences, creating a warm and exotic feeling. Widely used during the winter season in the evening.
The chypre fragrance category derives from different wood-moss mixes, providing earthly aromas such as oak moss and other types of wood. Chypre fragrances smell slightly dry, not very sweet. Chypre perfumes are rich and tenacious, usually for those who tend to prefer slightly out of the norm fragrances.
The green fragrance category derives from scents of pine, leaves, herbs, juniper and others, providing a sharp outdoor scent. Good day wear and occasional evening wear in warmer weather.
The Fougere category of perfume scents derives from bergamot, oakmoss and geranium, and is mostly used my men. It has a classy style. Great fragrance choice for distinguished gentlemen.
These diversified fragrances will evoke different feelings and people just seem to enjoy that very much. Now that the basic fragrance groups have been explained, it's up to one to make the best of his next perfume purchase and make use of the perfume fragrance that best suits his lifestyle.
However, while purchasing perfumes one should bewared that famous brand name perfumes are fairly expensive. If one is looking for genuine perfumes, he must be willing to spend fairly amount of money. However evoking memories of romantic moments thru fragrances may just be priceless and the expensive perfume price may just become fair.

The Rise Of Women's Perfume
By: M. Xavier
Since the beginnings of perfume in ancient Egypt, perfume has been the accessory of choice for women who wish to add another level to their appeal. Cleopatra and Nefertiti clearly understood the power of a beautiful scent; their frequent use of fragrance reflected a reverence by their society at large; perfume was used throughout the ancient cultures of Egypt before being adopted by Greek and Roman cultures. Such ancient cultures used the oils infused with the scent of burnt wood, spices, and aromatics as a part of their bathing rituals and religious ceremonies; but its eventual popularity in Europe truly sparked the modern woman's love affair with perfume. Since this time, women's perfume has continued to grow in popularity as manufacturers keep pace by introducing new designer and brand name fragrances to the market every year. Perfume initially came to Europe somewhere around the 12th century by way of the Arabs who brought scents as part of trade of the day; but its popularity peaked in the 18th century in the French court of Louis XV who delighted in fragrance so much that he demanded a different scent everyday.
The application of perfume at that time - to the body as well as to the home - was largely to cover body odor that stemmed from infrequent bathing. It is no wonder, with his frequent use of fragrance that Louis XV's court came to be known as the le cour parfumme (the perfumed court). From that time, fragrance continued to gain popularity in France. Queen Elizabeth I was one of the first women of the time to champion women's perfume. The Queen demanded only pleasant scents and a variety of fragrances were designed to please her; women of the time followed suit, elevating perfume to a level of creativity in which people felt comfortable to experiment. The popularity of perfume continued to reign in France - even through The French revolution and beyond - as well as in Europe as a whole. Before long, chemical advancements were made in the world of perfume in which systems were implemented that are still in use today.
To this day, France holds the title of largest manufacturer of perfume in the world. In the United States, the advent of the department store can be held largely responsible for the popularity of perfume. The early 1920s saw an influx of popular fragrance to the marketplace. Most notably was the creation of Chanel No. 5 in 1921, a classic fragrance that would go on to be the one of the most famous women' perfume in the world. New scents were added to the shelves every year and were reflective of the women of each particular time period. Today, women's perfume comes in a variety of scents, and in beautiful bottles to match. While perfume of all prices and quality can be found in high-department stores, there are also a multitude of online stores where women can shop for their favorite fragrances at often more affordable prices. And in the name of convenience, your purchase will be shipped straight to your door. Women's perfume will undoubtedly continue to evolve over the years to keep pace with changing styles. But no matter which perfume you choose, make sure that it complements your personality and fosters your personal style.

Perfumes For Men And Women
By: Roberto Sedycias
This article explains the many fragrances that are appropriate for men and women. Also it talks about when the right fragrance should be used. It is a valuable guide for those who want to buy the right perfume.
If you want people to think that you are beautiful, attractive and good, then the easiest way to do it is to select the right perfume.
From its inception in human history, cosmetics have always played different roles in making people presentable. Perfumes are one of the most used cosmetics since then, even though they were not made of synthetic contents as of today. But the fact remains that in ancient times, perfumes were used as part of ritual cerimonies. Back then aromatic grasses, wood and spices like cinnamon, cardamoms and fenugreek were squeezed into fluid to produce perfume.
The word "perfume" has originated from a Latin word "parfumare" meaning "through smoke". Archeological researches say the concept of perfume came from Egypt. Of course, followed by other Chinese, Indians, Romanians and Greeks before the whole world made it daily-essential in their lives.
Even though in the ancient culture perfumes were considered womanly affair, in today's world there are as many male versions of perfumes as female ones. Some of the famous brands of male perfume are: Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tommy Hilfiger, and Weekend for men and many others.
Beware that brand perfume by itself is not considered a fragrance. There are style conscious men who wear perfume according to their moods. There are perfumes that go with their schedule, for instance corporate, semi-casual or casual perfumes. Some of the corporate brands of perfumes for men are Sean John, Armani, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Hugo Boss which are the most chosen perfumes internationally for corporate getup. While Armani has a few corporate fragrances with woody flavors, together with Calvin Klein perfumes are supposed to be most luring with a heavy masculine touch.
Also, Hugo Boss has been a famous brand, for both its cost and class. You don't have to earn like a CEO to wear Hugo Boss, but it certainly does make everyone to smell good!
There is a range of must-wear perfumes for party freaks, avid bikers or those to want to smell great even on weekends: Weekend for men, though is a new brand, does have a whole range of fragrances to make one's weekend sensual. Hugo Boss new collection with aqua elements are always recommended for casual wears. For bikers or car race fans - Ferrari, DKNY or Tommy Hilfiger are among great choices.
Where should a woman wear perfume? The answer is simple wherever they want to be kissed! We cannot talk about perfumes if we don't talk about women. Perfumes play a great role in women's sensuality.
All time favorite for any woman when it comes to perfumes are Christian Dior's collection: Dior's Jadore and Addict that have been on the market for a long time. For women who want to smell a bit sweet and yet want to leave a whiff of smell behind, it is suggested the latest collection of Burberry perfumes. And if sensuality is something your partner is luring for, go for Nina Ricci's spring-summer collection. The other perfumes that you can pick are Escada, Gap, or Tommy Hilfiger's exclusive girl's collections when you want to accompany him on a car race.
Apparently, a perfume is bottled to blend with natural odor to create a distinctive fragrance for your personality. So, you must use a single brand of perfume to make your signature style perfect over days and days. Last but not the least, you must not wear perfume over sweaty clothes to cover bad body odor, it makes the vicinity around that personal intolerable. Perfumes, as the saying goes were used as a tribute to Gods so they must be sprayed when you are clean.

Women's Perfume
By: Claire Quaty
Most women enjoy picking out a fragrance that is their own. For some women that is a fruity scent and for others they are drawn to a much more flowery scent.
Women's perfume is a billion dollar business and it's easy to see why. Women love feeling their best and perfume helps them to feel fresh and clean.
When it comes to purchasing women's perfume the most difficult part might be narrowing down the choice. There are hundreds of different bottles of perfume available.
The cost of women's perfume is often a determining factor in which fragrance a woman will pick. Some perfume is very inexpensive and many women will choose this for daily wear. These types of perfume can often be found in drug stores or in department stores.
Some of these types of perfume are considered copies of some of the more expensive brands. Companies try and duplicate the higher priced fragrances and then offer them at a deeply discounted rate. Although these types of perfume do smell similar to their higher priced counterparts they never completely capture the true fragrance.
For the higher priced perfume a woman can shop in several locations. The first stop is generally the perfume counter at the local department store. Many department stores have a vast selection of quality perfume available. They will also allow you to test the fragrance on yourself to see how you like it. You'll often see testers on display on the perfume counter along with small swatches of paper for you to spray them onto.
One of the benefits of purchasing a higher priced perfume at a department store is that quite often they will have a bonus item that can be purchased along with the fragrance. This might be a make-up item, a tote bag or sometimes even an item of jewelry. If you purchase the perfume at its regular price you can then purchase the item for a fraction of its original cost. In some cases you might also receive an item for free when you purchase the perfume.
If you already know which perfume you want to purchase than you might want to take a few moments and do some online research.
There are many websites that offer perfume at discounted rates. It's not uncommon to find a perfume on one of these sites for considerably lower than you'd pay at the department store for the same item.
Most of the websites that do offer discounted high priced perfume will have a review section. This is where past customers can share their thoughts on their experience with buying perfume from the site. Look over the reviews and if you feel comfortable making the purchase than follow the required steps as outlined on the site.
Many women opt for one perfume for daytime wear and another for evening wear. The reason is that they want to make a bolder impression in the evening. There are several perfume manufacturers who offer several fragrances under the same label. Although the perfumes are similar they do have some noticeable difference.
If you are looking for two different fragrances it might be wise to choose two from the same label. They will most likely complement one another nicely.

Calvin Klein 2005 Spring & Summer Collection
By: Sher Matsen
Calvin Klein, a name we all recognize and a designer who is world renowned for his fabulous fashions. So how did Calvin Klein come to be?
As a young boy in the 1940s Calvin was already pre-occupied with designing and sketching fashions for women. The boy grew into a young man earning scholarships to both the New York High School of Art and Design; and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
This was at a time when America was just beginning to develop its own originality and uniqueness. Eventually he teamed with his childhood friend Barry Scwartz.
Their very first products were coats for women and men. From coats to ready to wear women's sportswear with clean lines that were simple and effective. Then came men's fragrances, underwear, and designer jeans.
Designer jeans that anyone could afford was a new idea and it very quickly took over the jean market. Soon men's shorts became sexy and a desirable market was created. Then when it was least expected Calvin Klein launched Obsession, Eternity, Escape, CK One, and Contradiction; all household words of fragrance, all obsessions in their own time.
CK Be was created by Calvin Klein in 1996 and features a fresh oriental woody fragrance that blends musk, mandarin, magnolia, peach, sandalwood, mint, lavender, bergamot, and juniper berry making it a memorable fragrance for both men and women. In 1996 CK the unisex fragrance took the market by storm.
Calvin Klein was the youngest designer to be awarded the Coty Award, not just once but for several years -1973, 1974,1975, 1982, 1983 and 1986, Calvin Klein also won the Council of Fashion Designers of America Award for outstanding design in both women's wear and men's wear.
Today Calvin Klein, Inc. is a globally recognized fashion, design and Retail Company determining the future of fashion design. Not only is it globally recognized in the fashion industry it's a household word.
The Calvin Klein Spring and Summer 2005 Collection combines natural tones, using soft flowing fabrics and clean lines. This spring Calvin Klein launches its new line of Choice Calvin Klein - Young Contemporary Jeanswear.
The denim line includes dark vintage, sandblast, bleached blue and graffiti denim washes. It will feature a unique branded pocket stitch for fashion items, and the jeans will be will be offered in a variety of fits.
The non-denim line features vibrant colors and patterns and of course company logos. This line offers satin bombers, sweater knits, t-shirts, halters, and layered tank tops. Choice Calvin Klein is branding itself as a young contemporary lifestyle brand.
The fall line by Costa stays true to the Calvin Klein brand: clean, supple, luxurious clothes made for city life. The fall wardrobe is rich in detail, finish, and texture, with a slim, somewhat sixties silhouette.
The line includes sleek navy suits with small jackets, and just above the knee skirts, black cashmere, and A-line fur combining mink and shearling. Even the basics consist of satin roll necks, and lean pants.
Both the 2005 Spring & Summer Collection and Fall Collection are worth having a look at. Fabulous fashion ideas worth considering. You can have a look right here at http://www.style.com/fashionshows/collections/S2005RTW/complete/thumb/CKLEIN
